Introducing The Compasses, Greenfield

The Compasses, Greenfield has now opened its doors to the public after a lengthy development and large investment. This pub has had a staircase move entirely, extension added to facilitate more covers and a wonderfully warm feeling as you enter. This pub is second site for Andy & Tracey Gordon, current partners at The Jolly Coopers.

The site has been with the Wells & Co. family for a fair few years but had gotten tired in years of late. The site had huge potential in order to extend at the back of the property as well as open up the entrance of the pub to reveal one large, shared space, as opposed to two separate rooms, ensuring maximum trading space.

This newly refurbished craft beer bar and restaurant will offer premium food offers as well as regular entertainment and events for all to enjoy. Expect similar entertainment and great, familiar service to that of The Jolly Coopers, their sister site down the road in Flitton.

As well as brand new furniture, bric a brac and carefully selected photographs of the local area have been added to the site to ensure a fresh, new, vibrant look and feel to the site. The pub alsso boasts a new style of swing sign too, opting for a more contemporary option of utilising a 3D model of a Compass that illuminates at night.

A more craft approach to beer has been taken including our very own Wandering Brewer Keg, Cask, two Charlie Wells beers as well as Camden Helles Pale Ale and Birra Moretti – a first of its kind in the local area. The pub also has an extensive wines and spirts range, including a vast selection of Gins.

The pub opened at the beginning of October and is ready for the busy Christmas trade, of which Andy & Tracey are already getting booked for. Don’t delay, pop yourself down to The Compasses, you won’t be disappointed.
