We're delighted to announce our new corporate charity; Teenage Cancer Trust UK.
Teenage Cancer Trust are a national charity supporting younger people with Cancer. They have a specialist unit in almost every major NHS cancer treatment hospital across England, funding expert nurses, Youth Support Coordinators and Multidisciplinary Team Coordinators, providing the best care and support for young people facing cancer.
Hailey Amani, Senior Partnerships Manager for Teenage Cancer Trust said, “We’re absolutely delighted to be working with Wells & Co. and their communities. We’re excited to see what we can achieve together to make sure that no young person faces cancer alone.”
This new partnership will see our head office team and our pubs fundraise for the charity through various initiatives up and down the UK. We have already kick started the partnership by fundraising £1,250 through two raffles held at our Pub Partner Awards ceremony and at the launch of community pub, The Pheasant in Bedford.
Ed Robinson, Community Impact Lead and Wells family member commented, “We’re thrilled to have the Teenage Cancer Trust UK as our corporate charity and we’re really looking forward to working in partnership with them. Following a vote amongst our colleagues and Pub Partners, we’re excited to have chosen Teenage Cancer Trust to partner with for 2022 and beyond. Their mission to provide care and support for every young person facing cancer really resonates with us here at Wells & Co., and we’re motivated to support their vital work over the months to come.”
