Our beautiful, traditional 18th Century country pub, The Golden Cross, located in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside, is set for new ownership. New couple Felan & Laura will be taking over The Golden Cross and reopening the much-loved pub to the locals of Alcester this May.
The Golden Cross will continue serving delicious food, made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients and will still boast the fantastic offer of two main meals for £18.
There will be a slight shakeup to the drinks menu, introducing award-winning beers from our brewery in Bedford, Brewpoint. The reopening of the pub will see the likes of Checkpoint, On Point and Midpoint on draught as well as our latest seasonal ale on offer.
Felan & Laura who also own the catering company Gourmet Pop Up said, “We feel privileged to have this new challenge in conjunction with Wells & Co. and are looking forward to bringing our expertise in the hospitality trade to this great country pub. We endeavour to continue the tradition of locally sourced produce, great drink and attentive service at The Golden Cross and intend to make it the focal point of the community once again.”
The Golden Cross will reopens this weekend and we'd like to extend a huge Wells welcome to the team.
